After the IT class I was able to run the business class. I started the business class after I asked the mothers if they wanted me to run this class. My first class was a bit disasterous as the mothers misunderstand me and thought the class was on a different day. But the following week was success. Since then I always have 3 regular students who are determined to come and build their future business plan. Through the business classes I can see the mothers already know a business strategy however, they never use it. I can easily say which mother is responsible, which one is good as a team leader, which one knows the prices or who has the manual skills. This showed me who is really eager to learn and who just goes along with others.
I did an activity with those mothers to picture their business dream as I wanted them to get more enthusiastic about the class and active in the class. Since then I can see that one mother has changed her attitude and got so active not just in business class but also in other classes. A week later she went with me to shop and start to really fight for better prices of the cloth for our sewing class. She even came up with another sewing project on her own and I was just supporting her along. After that I felt finally that I am not anymore the one who needs to push the mothers and come with all the class ideas and sewing project. From now on I can give the space to my students to step up and collaborate between them and me. It took me a long time to see the changes of my students but it was worthy. I cannot wait to see what will happen next.
