Hundreds of dogs are homeless in the area around Huanchaco and end up in a shelter. They often arrive with injuries, psychological problems or a lack of training. The lucky ones will be adopted and rehoused, but the rest will require the care and attention of specialists and volunteers just like you.

By volunteering with Huanchaco's shelter, you can help to ensure that these dogs are given the care and attention they need. Whether this is through play sessions, long walks on the beach or assisting with necessary surgeries.
