What is an OCN Ambassador?
As an OCN Ambassador your role is to spread the message about OCN and to be the initial point of contact for anyone who is interested in working with, or donating to Otra Cosa Network. As we are in different parts of the world, you would also be our point of reference within your community, keeping us informed on current trends or shifts in interests or values.
The OCN Ambassador is an invaluable, hands on role which you could include in your CV if you'd like. You will be assisted in this role with resources that we have prepared for this programme and you may also customise the role to fit your needs and abilities.
Why is the Ambassador important?
We are living through extremely challenging times, with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic being felt across the globe.
As an ambassador you would:
- Enable us to reach a wider demographic which is vital for the recruitment of more volunteers once the borders reopen.
- Help us fund and resource our organisation through new initiatives and spread of word which could lead to more sustainability and financial security.
- Give us important, creative inputs on how to improve our NGO which could be vital for our survival.
How can you help?
There are two options available to an Ambassador for OCN.
Fundraising pathway:
The fundraising role involves planning, implementing, and managing initiatives to secure financial support for the organisation. Fundraisers play a critical role in ensuring the sustainability and growth of the charity's programmes and activities. They develop fundraising strategies, identify potential donors, and cultivate relationships with individuals, corporations, and foundations.
Spokesperson pathway:
A spokesperson is an individual who represents the organisation's mission, values, and initiatives to the public, media, and other stakeholders. They play a crucial role in raising awareness, promoting fundraising efforts, and advocating for the charity's cause.
As an OCN ambassador you have the option to take on the role of a fundraiser or a spokesperson, or both.
